In the pantheon of blues rock, there has never been a band that has blazed so brightly, been more commercially successful and made so much great music in a comparatively short period of time as Free. They're probably best known for their 1970 signature song "All Right Now," but their catalog is rich and deep, which is surprising given their comparatively short career. Free disbanded back in 1973 and lead singer Paul Rodgers went on to front Bad Company along with Simon Kirke on drums.
Thankfully, Paul Kossoff's guitar playing and the majestic, proud and soulful music of Free live on. They left behind a legacy of seven albums, four of which reached the UK Top 10.
