On "Words Fall Short", saxophonist Joshua Redman interprets outstanding and atmospheric compositions that he has worked on over the last few years without a specific project.
The recordings were enhanced by the participation of young and sensationally good musicians: pianist Paul Cornish, bassist Philip Norris and drummer Nazir Ebo. Saxophonist Melissa Aldana and trumpeter Skylar Tang set the tone as guests. As on the previous album "Where Are We", singer Gabrielle Cavassa is once again a guest, although this time only on one track ("Era's End").
