ORCHESTRE PAILLOTE Orchestre Paillote (Volume 1) (Rare 1967 French pressed Guinean 10-track vinyl LP, front laminated picture sleeve. Critically acclaimed West African longplayer; vibrant Guinean sounds with infectious Cuban-influenced grooves, horns (wonderful trumpet and sax interplay), vocals and intricate guitar work from Kante Manfila and Kerfal Camara. The item [as with many African releases from this period] shows some condition issues - the sleeve has a small tear to the opening edge, a previous owners name written on the reverse and a small seam split along the top, nothing too excessive and nice bright front image, the vinyl has a couple of visible hairlines/marks which do not affect play. Overall, a more than acceptable copy that's difficult to find in any condition! SLP1)
