The American glam metal band Poison became the most important party band of hair metal with their highly controversial and best-selling album "Open Up And Say...Ahh!". Glam metal was in at the time and Poison were the talk of the town thanks to their hit "Talk Dirty to Me". Therefore, they wasted no time and recorded the follow-up to their debut album "Look What the Cat Dragged In".

They landed another number one hit with "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and a top ten hit with "Nothin' But a Good Time," both of which were played day and night by MTV and caused fans to storm the record stores.

First released in 1988, the band's second and most successful studio album features four of their biggest hits, "Nothin' But A Good Time," "Fallen Angel," "Your Mama Don't Dance" and their only #1 single to date, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." The album went multi-platinum.
