The Swell Season is back and better than ever! After reuniting for a limited number of sold-out shows, including their unforgettable performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York, the duo is excited to share some new music with us. What began as a simple studio session to create a few new songs for their tour blossomed into a full-length album, sweetly titled "Forward". This marks their first album in 16 years, following the incredible success of their Oscar-winning work in the film "Once," which inspired a beloved award-winning musical worldwide. The album features 8 heartfelt tracks penned by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, who take turns singing lead vocals. Together, they honor their shared history while moving forward as equal partners, always supporting and uplifting one another. With the help of their old band members and the creative touch of producer Sturla Mio Thorisson, they blend classic elements with fresh sounds for The Swell Season. This year, the band is hitting the road again, touring across the UK/Europe and the US, with all their shows either completely sold out or nearly there, including a performance at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall in London!
