To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Talk Talk's legendary album' It's My Life, ' it has been specially cut at half-speed by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios. The process was overseen by Talk Talk's talented drummer Lee Harris and Charlie Hollis, the son of Mark Hollis, adding even more depth to this special edition.
Originally released in February 1984,' It's My Life'was the band's second album, following their debut'The Party's Over' from1982. That debut achieved moderate success in the U.K., reaching number 21, and gained some recognition worldwide.
By the time they started working on' It's My Life, ' the band had transitioned from four members to three, with Simon Brenner leaving. The album was hugely successful internationally, with hits like' Such a Shame,' which soared into the top 10 across Europe, and the album's title track making it into the Top 40 charts worldwide, including in the U.S.
